Every single person has Confirmation Bias with Diets, including myself. So what to do? What is the best thing for my health? No idea.
Their isn’t a clear cut answer. Everybody has different “experts” and different “clinical studies”, different “books” have been written a million times over. Tons of YouTube “ health professionals”. Doctors tell you literally nothing regarding your nutrition or any modalities/options to help you heal outside of medications. Reality is, most doctors have spent very little time studying nutrition. So you’re on your own.
Which I guess means I have to be my own Guinea pig, roll the dice and hope not to trigger my PVOD by making the wrong choice and causing too much inflammation in my body/exasperating my sarcoid…no black or white answer unfortunately . Makes it extremely stressful. Literally life/ death consequences.
In the meantime I'm having to take a million pills that are not just hard but damaging for all my organs in my body. However, if I don’t take them, they say I’ll die. When I wasn’t taking blood thinners/anti-convulsants I had 3 seizures. One where I had to be rushed to the hospital. So the pro’s/ con’s of taking said detrimental drugs were no longer debatable/avoidable. My worries of terrible “side affects” had to be pushed aside. One of the seizures felt just as fucked up as the stroke. Seizures cause more damage to the brain/body and affect your healing. Facts, not feelings. So the risk was too high…made my chances of having another stroke way too high. Since I’ve been on the meds. No seizures. Facts. So “ side affects"' I've had to live with, as well as long-term health for short term life. It’s fucked up. But just my reality. Going to continue to try and crack this DaVinci code of autoimmune healing by trial and error, failing/learning what works best for myself personally to optimize not just my length of life but my quality of life. Hopefully, in this search for peace and a pain free existence I can help others along the way. Shed some light in the darkness.
